This bow performs at a very high level. It provides smooth and even contact on all four strings, allowing the player to trust it in both demanding and delicate passages. In the high register, this bow produces a sweet, beckoning tone, in the low register, it is warm and rich. When pushed, this bow projects easily and vividly, allowing it to cut through when needed. It also has an even and crisp bounce, making spiccato effortless at various tempos.

Vanderson Schaeffer, son of Floriano Schaeffer decided to enter the family business of bow making, following in his father's footsteps. Schaeffer learned bow making techniques from his father and continued on to study briefly with Pierre Guillaume of Brussels. He currently works for the Brazilian firm Arcos Brasil as one of their top bow makers and is responsible for making many of their special edition bows and master copies.
