Arcus T-Series Carbon Bow - CELLO

The Arcus Series carbon bows have a clear, tender character. Maintaining connection with the string is effortless; it is easy to achieve a smooth, even tone across the instrument. They sit lightly and comfortably in the hand, allowing for quick string crossings. Changes in articulation and dynamics are controlled and precise. The high register is buttery and sweet, the low register rich, chocolatey, and vivid.  There are three versions — the S, the M, and the T.

The T bow combines the shimmer of the S with the fluidity of the M. This bow is ideal for a cellist in need of a versatile bow for a wide range of performances. It is guaranteed to perform well in any setting.

With a weight of about 71 grams, these bows are vastly more maneuverable than any “normal” cello bow. Their much stronger sticks make it possible to use the full potential of all modern strings with either steel or synthetic cores. 

Too many cellists sooner or later experience discomfort or even pain in their right thumb, wrist or elbow. The strong forces and vibrations of a cello bow can lead to many, different complications. By changing to an Arcus bow, the lower mass and the “missing” low frequency vibrations result in a total relief and relaxation of the bow arm. About classifications:

The class-4 bows are a match for very high quality wood bows. The finest wood bows we have ever experienced in competition with an Arcus bow could sometimes equal a class-5, but rarely a class-6 bow. The 7- to 9-category bows pull a sound sweeter and more powerful than anything else ever put to a string.

The T-Series is available in only class 4 and above...finer than the finest wood bows available. Round stick only.
